“We recently had a chap that was on a boat that was shipwrecked on our bar in 1946. He was one of the survivors, because some of them were killed. He came in and took photographs of objects we have relating to the boat. He was able to tell us his experience and he was thrilled to be here. It was fascinating for us to have someone come in, who had witnessed our history like that.”
